Bootcamp

I started attending University of Utah full stack bootcamp in July. The program is partnered with Trilogy and Jason Anderson was the main instructor. I learned front-end and back-end technologies and languages.

I'm excited to farther pursue different languages and technologies because the learning never-ends. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to attended the program.

2004 - 2008

College

I moved to Salt Lake City in 2004 to attend the University of Utah. I graduated in 2008 with a BFA in acting and a minor in business and I was taught by Professors in the actor training program.

I performed in over thirty student and ten main stage productions. I also wrote and acted several short pieces and student short films. I am grateful to have such a unique, hard working and creative experience from this education

1995 - 2004

School

I graduated high school in 2002 then attended Collin County Community College. I recieved a Associates of Fine Arts in 2004. I took extra courses in mixed media design and acting.

While attending I was involved in several large productions for set building and acting. I directed two student pieces and mixed media performance art.

July 2019 - present

Salt Lake County - Tax Assessors Office

Currently working with testing an ext.js appliction with Sencha Studio and developing an internship program.

Also creating bridge applications for data enrty and scaling property parcels for the tax assessors.

2013 - 2018

Prior - Broadway at the Eccles

I have contributed to the transition from sharing venues to moving to the Eccles Theatre downtown Salt Lake City as the resident company. I have a experiencein ticketing, customer service, audits and email correspondence. I'm proud to say our team accomplishes much for four hardworking co-workes.

I was promoted to supervisor for the mountain west service center branch of Broadway Arcoss America. I am so grateful to have been invloved the success of the new Eccles Theatre.

I also worked as a ticket agent for Arttix where I sold for multiple companys for the downttown arts. During this time I acting in several plays and worked in productions. I also volunteered at the Bike Collective.

2007 - 2010

Industry

I have working for multiple different resturants and hotels in Dallas and Salt Lake City. With over 12 years of serving and bartending experince I have the skills to work under pressure while a smile on my face.

I have worked for and managed at several different hotels and craft breweries. I'm a foodie and drink enthusiast.

About me

I'm a creative. My strengths are that I can problem solve under pressure and I can work fluidly in teams/groups collaborting on projects.

I have experience with web development technologies such as Javascript, CSS, HTML, JQuery, Node.js, Firebase, API's. I recently gradueted from the full stack program at the University of Utah.

I have lived in Utah for 15 yrs and I have fallen for the scenery of the mountains and what there is to always explore all around. I enjoy traveling and being in nature. I'm excited to be a part of the growing tech community here in the wastch valley.

Word Guess Game

This game uses Javascript to randomly pick out words form an array and once guessed adds into the blanks. I also added a music player with a gif.

Crystal Guessing Game

This game keeps score of the radnom numbers associate to the crystal buttons. The number guessed is generated by using javascript and then tallied up to try and match.

Monster Triva Game

With Javascript I created arrays of quesitons and answers and then functions of counts, a timer and game restart. Once the game begins the monster mash plays.

This fun app uses an API to find gif's that relate to the emotion inputed. By using an AJAX call to retrive results.

Astrology App

This was a group project where we used firebase to hold and compare data using Javascript. There is a sound API used for when the matches are clicked on.

On this project I worked on the css, bootstrap and for login validation.

Bamazon

This back-end application allows a usert to look through products and place them in their cart.

This uses mySQL to hold the data product and then is updated once items are placed in the cart.

To have the application run properly be sure to install Node.js and inquirer.

Friend Finder

Friend Finder implements friend matching based on the user's responses to a survey of ten questions. See which kitty you match!

This application uses Node.js and express to route paths for comparing user input to an array database.

If the data set was very large implementing an algorithm would quicken the search.

Eat-A-Burger

This app is a full stack application with a front end using HTML/CSS and elements from Materialize framwork and the backend using Node.js and Express. HMTL templating is done with the help of Handlebars.

The user can enter any type of burger and add it to the menu. This also adds the new burger into the MySQL database. The initial burger entry is added as available on the left. Once the user clicks on the burger button it move into the adjacent column and updates its status in the database.

Kintsugi

Our group built a full stack Japanese learning app using passport when logining into the application. User can create and edit a profile and pass through levels for learning/studying Japanese.

MySQL was used for the database, Javascript for controllers and CSS and Materialize for front end UI/UX.

What needs to be added for full potential app: voice recordings for the flash cards, 10-20 levels, chatrooms/facetime.

Alley art

Our group built a full stack street smart art app. It allows street artists to create porfiles, upload pictures, and opt to communicate with the public. On the other side, users can search for art by either location or artist. Once the user has located art pieces, they can map locations, view the artist's profile or save art to favorites. So, look up art and go on an adventure

REACT application with Redux managing user states, MongoDB was used for the database, Javascript for controllers and CSS and Materialize for front end UI/UX. Additional technologies: Google Maps, Google Geocoder, AWS S3 Bucket (photos), Passport (local strategy)

Features to add: Ineractive google map to zoom into street views, favorite pins, and eventually instant messaging.
